Rafa is tearing us apart - Julez

Being a Liverpool Football Club fan, I just want to know are there still fans out there that have 100% faith in Rafael Benitez. This amazes me as how I can go into forums and see hundreds of fans writing 'Rafa Out!' topics but when watching a Liverpool FC game, everyone seems to be chanting Rafael Benitez’s name which seems to me that we have the right man for the job. If there are fans around who still think Rafa is the man for the job, I would like to know what everyone else thinks? I cannot see anything good about him that would suggest him getting us the coveted premiership no. 19.

His selections decisions are baffling. For example, Steven Gerrard was taken off against Everton. There are also other baffling decisions like playing Lucas on the left, having Babel on the bench and at times, constantly. Jamie Carragher’s been played at right back whereas Steve Finnan has played at left back. Positions which the players are not suited for. What is most odd is playing Dirk Kuyt 3 or 4 times more than other strikers who have otherwise scored 3 or 4 times more than his current goal tally. His rotation policy is a subject of ridicule since it cannot be defended in any shape or form. This is what I believe is Liverpool FC’s source of undoing this season. The first couple of games we saw a settled, confident side.

However, when we played sides like Portsmouth and Birmingham, we had our best playing sides rotated with other players and players like Fernando Torres were omitted from the squad.

MyRAWK Admin Quote: You do not seriously think that the team is dependant on Fernando Torres to win LFC no. 19, do you? I thought football is a team game?

In affirming the fact that Rafa’s rotation policy really hurts than helps is that the fact that someone like Momo Sissoko who looked so good 2 years ago is churning out mediocre performances. Has the reason of not having enough playing time be the reason? And how is it that a player of Xabi Alonso’s calibre, a player with flair, creativity and excellent passing is being turned into a defensive minded and boring player.

At present, media reports are having Rafael Benitez say that Xabi Alonso is not good enough and has allowed him to leave! What a tosser! I rate Alonso higher than Mascherano! I just hope and pray that Rafa will be asked to leave after the season, before he gets rid of any players!

MyRAWK Admin Quote: First and foremost, it’s a rumor. I would like to see some proof from Liverpoolfc.tv that says Rafael Benitez has allowed Xabi Alonso to leave? Your’e not reading News of the World, are you? We LFC fans do not support NOTW and The SUN because of the Hillsbrough tragedy, you know that right?

In other media reports, it was announced that other players are being considered for selling other than Alonso. Players rumored to be sold are Peter Crouch, Andry Voronin, Harry Kewell and maybe Jermaine Pennant. What do you mean Peter Crouch? This guy has had lesser playing time than Dirk Kuyt but has scored regularly than him, and as a substitute.

Besides Fernando Torres, the other strikers are carving out mediocre performances, except Peter Crouch. If he is played constantly, and partnered with Torres upfront, we can see the goals flowing again! And by the way how come Kuyt is not on that 'out' list?

What does Rafa see in him?? Likewise, Voronin really looked like a decent player during the pre season. At present, I would regard him as one of the worst strikers in the premiership then again he has not much playing time.

And now Rafa's rotation policy is creeping into the back line too! Our backline has been the reason for a lot of our success over the last few years, but with the rotating of players this season in defense, we have been rather appalling. Someone, please help us! I just think that the troubles with the Yanks could not have come at a worse time for Rafael Benitez.

While the fans desire is forcing the George Gillett and Tom Hicks out of Liverpool FC, Rafael Benitez is not doing any justice either, and he is slowly tearing us apart.

Our ship is just sinking because we are getting holes on TOO MANY sides! With all these points in consideration, I still do not understand the undying support for Rafael Benitez -Julez-

MyRAWK Admin Quote: Rafael Benitez won us the UCL and the FA CUP in the first 2 seasons? Who do you suggest is the better manager than Rafa, Klinsman? He has a 5 year contract, let him honor it.

Raffa is damaging the club with his meddling. I appreciate that european games need a plan to beat the opposition tailor made depending on the team we are playing.

Premiership games are different, we need a settled side that is full of confidence, Raffa pays too much attention to the opposition at times that interferes with the balance of the team.

How he keeps picking Kewell is beyond me that man can not cross a road let alone a decent ball. He owes us so much and should have been dumped during the transfer window.

Voronin is an Ox, way too slow, Crouch should be up front with Torres.

I predict that Rafa will not make it to the end of the season. Bring back the Houlier Thompson partnership or team him up with McAlister.

GET RID OF THE SPANISH WASTER!!!!

As much as I agree that Rafa isn't convincing enough to please all the Liverpool fans, but I can't help but to laugh at some of the opinions written by the author him/herself.

You rate Alonso higher than Mash? I can tell you that you are the first person to tell me that now, although I am not exactly an Alonso critic, but I don't see him playing well enough to justify a starting spot. And since when did Rafa allow him to go? Oh yea, who was the one who brought him into Liverpool in the first place? He was merely asking him to work harder for his position, unless the author can clarify or show some evidence, I don't remember seeing any news related to 'Alonso is allowed to leave'.

(This is to big t too)Ryan Babel has been good, but not excellent nor convincing enough to start every game, however, I do see balance in a team whenever Harry Kewell is playing, is it just me or what? Ryan isn't capable enough nor settled enough to play full 90 minutes in an English game, tell me when was the last time he impressed when he starts in a league game? Who else has been impressive on the left flank?

Again people talk about rotation, but people forget what have we achieved with rotation. 1 FA Cup, 1 UCL and 2 UCL finals in 3 seasons? We did okay in the EPL by the way with limited funds didn't we?

Crouch is slow too? I thought Voronin's faster. Although I favour the Crouch-Torres partnership, but your argument about him being slow....aren't you contradicting yourself with that?

Bring back Houllier Thompson you say? Bring them back and we shall see a few more future Vieira, Zidane in our lineup who will eventually turn to clowns. Diao went out for virtually nothing and Momo went out for about 8 million pounds, don't let me start with his other signings. This is one thing that I strongly disagree with you. How many seasons did GH take? He won us the treble, but how convincing was our win in all three cups? Struggling against our opponents in all three finals?

Why does this amaze you? Forums have loads of so-called Liverpool fans who have little or no clue what they're talking about. Many of these would like to see Rafa sacked coz they simply quote whatever they read in the rubbish media.

Match-going Reds on the other hand, massively support Rafa. That's why you keep hearing the chants in support of Rafa during Liverpool matches. After the Sunderland match, a protest against the American owners was staged in The Kop. At the same time they showed massive support for Rafa!

Check out the new, huge Rafa flag after about 1min 38sec!! Absolutely brilliant!

Rafa has achieved great things at our club and definitely deserves more time. The people on The Kop know that, but media and "forum-fans" think otherwise.

I certainly know what I think.

Xenophobia, i'd say. Despite the UK and the USA being close political allies, the average Brit has little or no love whatsoever for the yanks.

And the average Brit is very different from the average Scouser :-)

Seriously though, this has nothing to with Xenophobia. Just read the facts on this page and you'll know that our club is in danger:

Amos and Jan

You bet your sweet arse that the Bits dislike the Yanks. We are waiting for our politicians to remove their hears from the arse of the US president.

And when we get our way of life back that considers the real people who are born here and stop pandering to the Muslims and the other Fanatics in this country this country will be a better palce to live.

That comment was not racist it a view held by all creeds and colours in the UK who are being displaced.

You people make me die, talking about real Liverpool Supporters. I speak with 46 years experience of supporting LFC.

The crap you so called "affilliated" supporters from another part of the world come out with makes me die.

Rafa has done well but he is not consistent. You say we struggled against opposition when Houlier is in charge, what are we doing now. Going behind twich to an club so low in the tables (Havant And Waterlooville) that most of them got nose bleeds when they came to Anfield.

We are looking shaky against the most mediocre apponents.

Rafa must go.

big t: First of all I am very happy to hear you've supported our beloved Reds for 46 years! I hope that one day I can say the same - I'm only at 22 years of supporting at the moment! :-)

I respect your view that you think Rafa must go - although I completely disagree with you. And if you are going the match these days, you'll know that the majority of people are still behind Rafa. To my great delight I've got to say!

The crap you so called "affilliated" supporters from another part of the world come out with makes me die.

I am not quite sure what you mean by the above - perhaps you could elaborate?

The one thing that Liverpool are famous for is the ability to give credit where credit is due.

They will also give encouragement to players and management even though they are not performing well.

The club is split at the moment and the fans have been forced to take sides.

Yanks or Rafa. If I was standing on the KOP I would show my support for Rafa, we do not do Negatives to the Team.

We do however express ourselves in private when the points for discussion are the Club.

Remember no one is bigger than the club, even the owners.

There is a rumour doing the rounds that a consortium of likeminded LFC fans is going to raise 500m and buy Tranmere for 50m then build the team with the balance as well as buying Anfield when the new ground is built and launch the real LFC.

The way things are they'd get my vote.

I rest my case. Great European Tatician, absolute crap at the British way of things.

Sorry RAFA you have to go.
